Saved Games is a campaign organized to assist video game players combine their interest in gaming with their desire to make a difference in their community.

Millions of video games are sold in the United States every year, and most gamers have built up a library of games, some of which they play often and others that they do not.

It's those dusty old games that you aren't using any more that we are looking for. Many of those games still have some value, and that value can be used to fund programs that improve the lives of the people who need it most.

Our Quest

Saved Games collects donations of used (and often currently unused) video games and sells those games through on-line auctions. 100% of the winning bid from those auctions is donated to A Gift for the Future Children's Fund, an organization that supports charitable programs for kids in need.

Help Save The Princess

...and the Princes too. The heart of our program comes from the support we get from gamers like you. There are many ways you can help. Here are just a few:

  • Purchasing the games you want through our auctions: Our eBay Auctions
When looking for a new game, please consider what we have to offer first. When you do, the money you spend does so much more.
  • New: Hosting your own game drive:
Are you interested in getting your school or group involved in this great effort and helping some kids who could really use it? Learn how to join us by hosting your own video game donation drive. We've had some great success teaming up with kids helping kids and would love to have you get involved too.
  • Donating your games or game consoles:
A quick trip to your mail box or the post office is all the donation takes. Donating your games is easy and it helps both in raising money for a good cause as well as helping us get the message out to other gamers through the auction. As an added bonus, it's also tax deductible.
Special Note: We've found a buyer interested in purchasing used Playstation consoles, working or not. There are a ton of these out there still, most going unused since the release of the Playstation 2. Sending us your old console will really help us out.
  • Supporting the Fund Directly:
Even if you're not in the market right now to buy or donate games, you can always make a direct donation to the children's fund. Secure ways of making donations through credit card or PayPal can be found at www.AGiftForTheFuture.org.
  • Spreading the Word:
While we do our best to let everyone know about our efforts, we could really use your help. If you enter a friends house and notice I stack of games that look like they are going unused, remember our site www.SavedGames.org, and pass the word along.
  • Hosting Auctions that Support Us:
Most eBay users are not aware, that they can contribute portions of their auctions to charity fairly easily. According to eBay's data auctions that support charities often go for 40% more than similar auctions. There are details for using eBay to sell your item and donate a portion of the final bid price at A Gift for the Future Children's Fund.

Adding to Our Inventory

We are looking for donations with value enough to make meaningful donations to A Gift for the Future. Here are a list of donatable items that we are looking for:

  • Any console based game (Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, etc.) game in playable condition. We prefer that they come with their original box and manual as well, though this is not required. We can not currently accept any used PC games.
  • Working Playstation, Nintendo, or Xbox consoles, old or new. Because the shipping price is higher for these items, we will cover the shipping price when you make a donation. Email us at info@SavedGames.org to request a pre-paid shipping label to our address.
  • And we are open to other items that would make good on-line auction fund raisers (meaning they aren't too hard to ship and would bring in at least $10). You can host these auctions yourself by following the directions at www.AGiftForTheFuture.org, or you can contact us to see if we can take your donation at info@SavedGames.org.
Sending in games is easy. Get a padded envelope available at most office supply or even grocery stores. Place the game in the envelope. Write our address (shown below) and your return address on the envelope. Affix the appropriate postage and stick it in your mailbox.

For your convenience, here are the postage rates we have found most common:

  • Padded envelope (6" x 9") with 1 game: $1.52 (5 - 37 cent stamps)
  • Padded envelope (6" x 9") with 2 games: $2.67 (8 - 37 cent stamps)
  • Padded envelope (10" x 15") with between 3 and 6 games: $3.85 (11 - 37 cent stamps)

These rates are approximate, as the weight of your package may vary. The rates reflect first class envelopes mailed within the United States. For more information on postal rates and how to send packages please visit the US Post Office web site.
